i was so shocked i somehow reflexively punched my computer and now my hand hurts

there is a certain type of book that i don't rlly know how to explain. it's a bit like nostalgic and bittersweet. honestly the only examples i can think of aren't actually books, they're animes 💀 but things like words bubble up like soda pop, tunnel to summer exit of goodbyes, flavors of youth, a whisker away. kinda like sweet slice of life that's a little sad. i have this random plot idea idk if i'm talented enough to write it tbh, but it's midnight and i'm feeling brave so ig i'm going to share it- anyway, it's about a girl's life and it's pretty normal and happy but not really bc she thinks everything is bittersweet and she slowly goes insane and eventually kills herself.

it is unfairly hard to explain why you like a book or character but so easy to rant about why the book is bad or you hate a character

now i'm torn cus a character died (or maybe not?) but i can't be mad cus his canon-ish girlfriend just got amazing development
