Really, really slow. So many storylines left untouched or revisited. The only way for me to describe the storytelling is Deborah Harkness is doing her best to tell you how it FEELS to be a creature, she’s not telling enough about their experiences as creatures. Sooo many more loose ends could have been tied up by the 4th book. I’m disappointed really…
