It's my cursed fate that this book doesn't have page #s... I feel like this is a troll move on top of a comically small map & no more differentiated chapter pages. Is this series about bullies now picking on me via a book that has *MY* zodiac symbol on the cover?

How ARE THERE NO PAGE NUMBERS?!!! Distractions aside, already roller-coaster of emotions & I want the star chosen fate [grrrr] or some kind of bone *sigh*

Funny how ~200 pages into the 3rd book I *finally* noticed each chapter header graphic holds the elemental symbols of the powers they have 🙈 I was always looking hard at the central zodiac art on the opposite page & then eagerly diving into the next chapter.

How do so many characters have dimples?! This is not realistic. (Said about a book on fae, dragons, Pegasus, vampires, sirens, werewolves, etc.)

What is realistic is the toxic masculinity....like, damn. It's egregious, but it's not far from reality.

Still hate to put the book down, though. The story is enticing!

I like the car detailing, love for cars, & specifications of cars in the story - really showing his attention to detail and creating a thread throughout. I love Ru's mom & I cried at part of it. What a jarring upswing of life path alongside the harsh reality of the harder experiences. Can't wait to hopefully see Ru again & let him know his books are a gift! Wish we could hang tho... he gets it all!

I really like the storyline, but I really don't love the Stockholm syndrome-esque, possessive patriarchy dominance. This has a lot of potential, but maybe that comes from nostalgia and other stories that follow a similar arc. The twins are really relatable though & that gives a sense of connection
