It was a slow start, even for me, but its picking up. I hope it lasts, this gon be a loooong read.

Just wow. I wanted a deeper dive into Arda and dang, I'm really getting what I asked for. Still not quite finished but this was no ordinary book.

Only about 8 pages in and already there's so much to ponder over. Lol there arent enough characters to get into it but I'm really geeking out with this one, I really hope it last.

The Ainulindalë was spiritually enchanting, as I had hoped it would be from pieces I've come across in the past. On to the Valaquenta!

So far I feel like I'm picking up a different tone compared to The Lord of the Rings but its fitting, I think, considering the overall seriousness or weight rather of the quests. Nonetheless, I am greatly enjoying this new journey, and experiencing a different pace from Tolkien. But there is surely consistency where it matters; the characters are so endearing.
