“You want to throw me down,” Rory said, eyelids dropping as he whispered into my parted lips. “And I, prideful, disdainful, godless, want to drag you into the dirt with me.”

“You should really call me Benji.” “You don’t find that disrespectful?” “Rory does it. Rory for Rodrick, Benji for Benedict.” He shrugged. “It’s just a nickname.” “An atrocious one,” the gargoyle muttered.

is it me or lately is truly hard to find an interesting enough book?

Something's fishy

Barely 20 pages in and I already know:

1. This is gonna be a 1-star read
2. She's gonna be a massive pain in the ass

I know I somehow spoiled it for myself days ago, but goddammit the goosebumps I have right now

THE BETRAYAL IS TOO MUCH

This book's so going to ruin me

Ishqa, if you want, I can be your fake wife

I honestly envy Tisaanah's self-control, cause I would've unleashed Reshaye upon everyone in book one and had no regrets afterwards whatsoever

And the next thing I knew, I was on the ground, and he was draped over me, hands at my shoulders. I held up the dagger. “Fail. I got the knife back.” His eyes narrowed at me. “Perhaps,” he said. “But you look disarmed, nonetheless.”

Reading it for the plot, yes.
Reading it for the fine fey warriors with unpronounceable names, absolutely fucking yes.

How unserious can this book be

Fuck Tisaanah and Max, I want this story centered on Aefe and Caduan

Lately (or, dare I say, after ToG) I feel like I don't have it in me to read any kind of series, but I'm trying to push past my limits, so here we are.

And, now, I'm really curious who this Aefe is
