Love love love fantasy novels that parallel so concisely with reality. The author is able to speak more truths, create characters that fully bring colonization, racial inequalities, class discrimination and oppression bluntly and truthfully. This book is fucking GREAT.

She calls her work as an aerialist her “physical poetry” so I had to get this book. Right when I began learning aerial, I stopped writing poems and seeing this description made me realize that perhaps that this is where my poetry went too.
Also she’s lived a unique dedicated and amazing life with the mentality she has.

This is a book entirely about poems about dogs and it actually exists and some beautiful person actually sat down and wrote it beautifully. And why do praise Hamlet when a book of poems all about dogs exists.

The library has these on audio with Ms. Morrison’s narration. These stories are so powerful and she pulls me in- she hasn’t written a character that I haven’t wanted to stay with inside their voice. So so good.

Don’t know the page because I am listening to Toni Morrison books. She can make a grocery list sound profound like poetry and she really is taking me right into the thick of her amazing characters and complex plots.
I think I could listen to her forever.
