Then Matt proceeds to write his decapitation.

I love the idea of trains in any narrative, but this is just a whole new level of amazing 👏

I think more people need to read this kind of literature. I don't often get to read a well written explanation of how environmental contamination becomes interwoven with human and animal disabilities. The fact that so many years later, the victims of TCE exposure in Tuscon are still fighting for adequate care is absolutely ludicrous.

I'm reading this so slowly but that's not because it's bad.

I can't believe Tuscons water supply was tainted and a bunch of people got sick, impared, or died. Then the government and the companies involved tried to blame it on chilli and beans.

An MLM reference? This book really is a treat.

Video games, HUD adjustments, D&D, and Hunger Games with subtle references to pop culture that don't date the book because of how well integrated they are.

Reading is a really intense hobby for me. I have this tendency to emotionally invest myself in stories which is why I typically don’t read horror, thriller, or suspense because I find them particularly draining. Also, I tend to beat myself up when I don’t reach a particular page goal or finish a book on my invisible (and possibly unfair to myself) timeline.

My local bookstore listed “Gentlest of Wild Things” as their pick for February and I’m about to scream and cry and possibly combust.

Honestly I’ve been reading so many fun and good books lately. I couldn’t be any more happy about that!

Good grief!

I don’t really know if I like this one less or more than the previous book. I think the introduction on Fate was absolutely clever. The [redacted] is a twist that I hope is elaborated on more. I’d really like to see more effort trying to solve the murder though. I feel like the plot progression is slowing to crawl.

WHAT WAS THAT SCENE?

Good gracious I feel like I was reading some sort of parody on satanic joining rituals. It made me laugh. I only have a few hundred pages to go.

The underwater library has still been really active, I promise! Lately, I’ve taken an interest in biology so a lot of my time has been devoted to self study. I do intend on seeing if an institution would be willing to admit their first octopus learner.

You’ll see a lot of my reading will shift in that direction. My love for fiction is still very, very strong.

Woah! I didn’t realize that insects had such complex capabilities for attracting mates. Sound (like clicking, singing, banging and playing instruments), pheromones (mimicking!) and bioluminescence!

Oh jeez I’m such a nerd.

This is so out of comfort zone but it’s kind of hilarious. If I could tell you who recommended it to me, it would be even more hilarious. Just know that it was super unexpected.

This relationship is super interesting and weird. I don’t know why but I really like reading it. It’s like watching a disaster unfold in real time.
