And after a very long tiring day, all I want is this quiet moment, with a good book.

My next read is another poetry book by one of my favourite poets.

Great start.

I always have an extra book beside my bed in case I want a break from my current read.

Although this is a small book, I will not read it till certain circumstances.

This is my choice whenever I want a change.

It is time to read about someone who understands, someone who knows. It makes me feel at ease.

I said this before and I will keep saying it, mentioning Alcestis in this book made the book and the story more fascinating. This is genius, to make a book around a play; I want to see Alicia’s paintings so bad, especially the Alcestis.

I think I just discovered a new favourite writer; I think many may agree on how good his writing is.

So far the story is surprisingly exquisite, I hope it keeps that way. I hope I don’t end up disappointed.

Alex on the other hands definitely knows how to use words. My god, he is amazing.

Since I can’t use my eyes much in basically anything due to an infection, an amazing person (hi Anfal 💕) recommended switching to audiobooks till my eyes are cured, which can take up to a week or more.

It was a hard decision to make though, I have a schedule of what to read next, and finding an audiobook and enjoy it is not an easy job. But I did find one! Yay.

I wanna keep reading this one for longer hours but my eye infection is getting in the way, and it will be stuck for quite a while.

So I only have limited time for using my eyes for any activity. So I may close my eyes tomorrow the whole day even while eating so I can read more pages tomorrow. lol jk. But maybe I will switch to the audiobook if I kept wanting to end the book soon.

“I felt knots untie themselves, knots I didn't know were there. I could already tell there were things happening deep inside me that were irreversible. Is there any scarier word than "irreversible". It's a hiss of a word, full of side effects and mutilations. Severe tire damage—no backing up.”

I love how he poetically described his wife, his words are not corny nor cheesy.

“Nothing connects to the moment like music. I count on the music to bring me back—or, more precisely, to bring her forward.”

The way he misses his wife is heartbreaking; he turned her old mixtape into a time machine. He listened to her tunes like it was her voice.

I finally found someone who loves and appreciates music the way I do.

I love how the writer adds a mixtape at the beginning of each chapter.

This is the first time I start an audiobook with the intention to finish it, I usually give up after few minutes because I keep zoning out.

So far, I am in love with the experience and the story too. What an amazing storyteller, she was the reason for me to give audiobooks another chance.

I have the book in Kindle just in case I wanted to highlight something, that's the only thing I dislike in audiobooks so far.

This is the kind of book that requires your full attention to understand, but oh god, this is one of the best psychology books I have ever read. Now I understand the hype.

It gives me a clear understanding of what trauma can do to the body, and a small perspective on how a person with PTSD's life looks like.

This is five stars for sure, even though I finished part one out of three.

How cruel it is
To deny yourself something
Which is born from you,
Something so personal
And pure
As a feeling.

Some poems went right through to the heart, it beautifully hurts. I almost cried.

Note for the future: 3 A.M. is my favourite so far. It is so genuine.

Today I am reading my 10th book of the year; so for the sake of this accomplishment, I decided I am going to read a new genre that I always wanted to read, but never did. Poetry.

So of course, I picked one of my favourite poets that I discovered accidentally through Twitter, so I am pretty excited to discover this one.

This is a very short book, but even though I am still at the beginning of it, it opens your eyes to some new perspectives, great ones too.

The writer focuses on one's thoughts, he explains how our thoughts are the creator of our personality and circumstance, and how mostly we are unconscious about that.

“A man is literally what he thinks, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.”

Great Start.

It is impressive that the writer mentioned and focused on etiology and teleology studies; insisting on showing the negative side of etiology is a great move, since an etiological mindset is common, and is one of the reasons why psychological problems become harder to resolve.

Also, many philosophies mentioned reminded me of CBT— many of his points consisted of shifting one's thought.

I am enjoying this one!
