Fantastic. Exceptionally interesting. Wells’ writing style is easy and engaging.

Really robust content. Only section reading 200 pages of whatever is interesting.

Section read from 338-776. Really accessible systematic theology. I think it’s a wonderful introduction to systematic theology.

Wellum tries to provide an epistemological foundation for orthodox Christology. He wants to “provid[e] a well reasoned account” for how we can know God in Christ. He only shows that an evangelical view of the Bible is required for orthodox Christology (contra modern and postmodern views), but fails give any reason other than that we need it for orthodox Christology, thereby begging the question. Disappointing.
