Full disclosure: I didn't find it all that scary. Awesome, yes. Disturbing at times. Not so scary, though. But you know what, I don't think it was supposed to be the kind of book that scares you right away. I think you have to be a parent first, and I'm not there yet.

Definite 10 out of 10 though. The way Hill plays with...with everything. Subtle and awesome. I am awed. will need to sit and think some more.

So many awesome nods to Hill's other work and his father's books. I should be right on track to finish this in time for The Ocean At the End of the Lane's release.

I'm am thoroughly impressed by Hill's use of space in this novel. I've got an inkling I"ll be equally impressed with his use of time.

It's amazing how he simply describes the surrounding location and yet you feel as if you're dashing through with the protagonist on a collision course for diaster.
