I’m only on chapter 3, and wow I’m already intrigued by a lot in this book.

Are these 2 dead bodies connected to each other? Are they murders? Why were there Bible verses at their dead bodies and why in Isaiah? Where in Sterling is the Gauntlet? So many questions 😂😂

Finally know what happened at Ground Zero and Len deserved what he got!! This murder mystery is actually getting so interesting. Blake is the most disgusting person I’ve ever read in fiction

I’m almost 100% certain that Sandow is behind all this. Him and Tripp are #1 on my suspect list. Alex’s backstory was disturbing. Holy crap

I’m kinda suspicious of Sandow not letting Alex help with the investigation. I’ve got my eye on you sir. It’s also interesting learning how Alex and Darlington met. Bardugo keeps telling us things about Alex’s past before Lethe but hasn’t gone too in depth yet so it’ll be interesting to learn what happened to her before.

I’m loving the world building for this book so far. It’s interesting seeing all of Yale and how different each area is. Definitely starts slow like all of Bardugo’s books but I know she’s going to do a plot twist or something that’ll suck me in

The battle that’s about to take place feels like a mix of Helm’s Deep and the Pelennor Fields. I’m loving it so far tho. The change of the story has begun

One reason I’ve been so nervous to pick up this book is because I’ve heard it’s a very sad emotional trilogy. I have heard this is based off actual events that happened so I am scared. Be Prepared has been playing in my head since turning to part 2 earlier cause the story just took a turn and I’m not ready 😭😭
