Literally can't believe there's several pages devoted to the style of statue Domitian liked of himself. In any era, who would care? Get to the debauchery!

I can worm my way through almost any manuscript or text, but the dialogue in here is absolute gibberish. You'll find more merit in ebonics or Kerouac's spontaneous prose than this chicken scratch of the mouth.

'The possibility of something called “heterophobia” is rejected prima facie as heresy. Likewise, anti-Semitism is a universally accepted notion, but goy-hatred is not. These are just two amongst many other such “one-way mental blocks.”'

The dialogue in this one is torturously stupid. Barely comprehensible, less understandable than ebonics.

'This is Cassius Dio’s account: “Fulvia took the head into her hands before it was removed, and after abusing it spitefully and spitting upon it, set it on her knees, opened the mouth, and pulled out the tongue, which she pierced with the pins that she used for her hair, at the same time uttering many brutal jests.”'

Dude can't catch a break!

This book oddly reminds me of when I was on Adderall.

Love Jeff Strand's work. Even at his worst, he's pretty good.
