Oh Ivan! Love hate relationship with Peter, naturally...

Oh, the prose, the atmosphere... It's so natural, so beautiful. The loneliness of it all. I feel it so close to myself already. Only a quarter in (because husband forced me to go to sleep last night) but might just be my favourite book of the year.

I feel like she's trying to make sense of this world but changing it in a ridiculous way to make you the reader see what she thinks about the actual world.

I usually do not have a problem reading the memoir of someone I don't know - most of the memoirs I read are that way, but this one I just don't see why I should care? Am I being mean?

Hmmm... so I don't really know who this lady is (which everyone else seems to know), but this memoir is not it...
