I am a bit too excited for this book and I hope it will not affect my enjoyment - because I follow the author on Instagram and love her. But the start is very fan-fiction like and I expected that, but still, keeping an open mind. It's not like it's my first time reading monster p*rn after all.

No plot, just vibes.

We should stop comparing new authors to Sally Rooney. People who don't like Rooney's style will never pick up the book and people who do (like moi) will read it and constantly be like "this is so not like Sally Rooney". Mustard's characters are telling us too much how they feel or how they are (this book is only tell tell tell) but in Normal People you knew how they were feeling by reading between the lines!!!

Is it me, Jesus? Am I really the only one who doesn't get this book (especially the comparison with Sally Rooney!!)?

I think I got to that point in the book where I start thinking this could just be a longer article... although to be fair 75% of it was really interesting and it did not feel repetitive.

So... obviously, as a woman, I was already aware of this, especially the medical trial studies (especially after reading The Pain Gap), and yet I am still super angry!
