This is getting GOOD. What the author is suggesting and revealing in this book is astonishing. This is making me doubt almost everything I thought I knew about this case from “Helter Skelter”

One of the things that I really like about this book is Wendy is actually smart and not just a sobbing,helpless,wreck like in Kubrick’s movie. In one of the most horrifying sections in this book, King switches the point of view between Wendy and Danny and Jack over the course of three chapters. Wendy knows Jack is insane, and has to make smart decisions to get out of there alive.

After the chapter “It Was Her!!” This book is one of the most terrifying and atmospheric things you’ll ever read I mean seriously. If you thought the ghost stuff was scary in the movie it’s 10 times worse here!

I know I’ve only read chapter 1 but wow this is amazing.

Boy, oh boy, what I wouldn’t read without the internet archive. I mean seriously they got all the David Parker Ray shit to make you throw up and not want to even think about anything sexually for weeks. And they got stuff like this pure gold from the drive-in master Joe Bob Briggs.

This has to be the most gruesome and painful thing I’ve ever read in my life. How the hell did this guy get away with it there is an audiotape transcript in this book that is so gruesome and absolutely disgusting it’s like something from those rob zombie movies.

I picked this up on a whim at the local dump because Wolves was ok but not great and HOLY SHIT!!! I don’t know how I haven’t heard about this before but Jesus Christ

I was hesitant to go into this after the last book because oh man that last book was a doozy. I mean turning the main character from kickass man with no name cowboy into a sniveling little 14 yr old who only cares about Susan and gunslinger training camp for 400 PAGES!!! I mean come on Stephen.

But anyway I digress, this book immediately started off great.

Everything that was great about Holly in the previous books is here and I’m loving it.

I’m only 200+ pages in and I already feel like I’ve known Morris and Peter my whole life which is a testament to how good Stephen King’s writing is. Kind of getting some MDC feelings from Morris which I think is what he’s going for here.

Oh boy Stephen King is flying off the handle and I love it.
