The chapters with Rita and the kids are probably the best in here, which is as much as a surprise to me as it is too you. Rita’s kids being a potential threat to Dexter makes an otherwise boring chapter thrilling. The killing is few and far between, normally the books start off with Dexter finding a bad guy and investigating him to make sure he actually did the crime. Then kills them and feels satisfied.

Pretty good so far, Dexter having to deal with Cody and Aster wanting to kill and balancing that with being normal and trying to hunt down killers makes for a really interesting storyline. I’ve heard it gets worse and worse but I haven’t read anything terrible yet.

My grandma got me the entire Dexter book series so I’m gonna read this again to refresh the memory and continue on with the series. (Best Grandma ever)

💀💀💀 what the fuck was that scene? I mean seriously a 13 yr old girl describing her first sexual experience in graphic detail, then saying that breast feeding was hot… seriously what the fuck?

I hope this gives me a glimpse into the life of Laura Palmer like Fire Walk With Me but stuff I haven’t already seen. I know it’s not gonna explain that ending but you know, a man can dream.

-What a sick, sick, guy. This book has been insightful with its information but also recycled with its structure. the stuff about John not showing up to his interrogation because of a "car crash" and having mud on his clothes (he was burying a body)

-Bone-chilling.

So in the span of 20 pages we’ve gone from sexual pool experiment gone wrong to a “special” foot massage clinic…

Seriously though I don’t know how much more I can take.

I’ve only read the first chapter I’m already gonna throw up.

Wow Chuck, seven pages in and we’re going into an anecdote about an underage boy and a carrot…. This is gonna be crazy.
