I mean, does Eric really have to be that much of a cliche e-vil villain?

This one really isn't hitting like the others and I think it's the witches vibe and storyline. Every aspect of it is just itchy.

I really need to figure out why this house of Zorah stuff is holding me back from enjoying small moments in the story

A part of me wonders what this would have been if it was a short and tye kids going to the academy storyline was cut down to a quarter of what we've had to endure. I also know this House of Zorah was meant to be a sweet powerful moment but I'm just 😬

Sooo...not me continuing to read when the FMC seems like a comic gag but when she passed too stupid to live zone I knew for me it's a warp

Sets the tone from the beginning. The FMC is older than college aged with a cool job, yay! But for some reason I can tell I'm not connecting

This book is infuriating me so bad. Like I'm pissed. The blurb makes it sound like boy gets friendzone but he wants to work his way out of that. He knows what he got etc. But whew. He ain't moving right. Even when Liam was doing ef up stuff I saw he had love for Frankie and was 💔. This here 😡. I might need to just DNF and pick up when my expectations have shifted

Fun fact: f♡ckboi/hoe shet/jumpoff relationship beginnings are a major 🙅🏾‍♀️ for me. I usually DNF over it bc not seeing the couple actually at least acknowledge they like each other or they want to be with each other before the smex scenes bore me. I end up skipping those scenes until i see the effort of relationship.
