I really enjoyed An Ideal Husband and I’m in the middle of The Importance of Being Earnest and it’s frankly hilarious

i’m having a great time as always with these characters, and Callum is honestly growing on me even more

i’m almost falling asleep to all the technical physics explanations. don’t get me wrong, its very much interesting but i’m falling asleep

lord this book is really triggering my female rage fight response, in the worst way possible

reading the uncensored version along with this really makes for a deeper understanding of the text, especially when i notice exact sentences that’s been taken out or where the wording is different.

for example, even simple words as replacing “know” with “paint” change the meaning so deeply: “I want the Dorian Gray I used to know(/paint),” or “you liked(/admired) me too much.”

i say very gay

“There was love [for Dorian] in every line [in the portrait], and in every touch there was passion.”

i can see why the original text was considered too homosexual for the general public

reading this version’s Picture of Dorian Gray to compare with the uncensored version’s and to read the rest of Wilde’s works

if what i think will happen does happen then i was right to say this book is dumb

why does it feel… kind of dumb?

i think i’m in a slump and i hope buddy reading this will get me out of it
