Lily is dumb and Ryle is a piece of shit

I can’t decide if I like it.Lilly is mostly annoying and Ryle is so arrogant I can’t stand him. Atlas is the only hope I have left for this book. The way Lilly talks about Ryle is so juvenile, it’s like a high school romance, I truly could not care less if they end up together or not. Ryle has fully admitted that all he wants is to be successful, everything that comes out of his mouth is selfish or self serving

I hate Tom. I hope he dies.

I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. I definitely hate Mor and the mental hospital and the whole idea of a “melancholy housewife from the 40s” or whatever but I think I like Lise. I hope she blows up Mor’s life. But truly it’s been infuriating to read, Mor is a narcissist and won’t let Lise be happy or have her own success.

I have like 4 pages left:( I’m procrastinating reading the rest because it’s so good, I don’t want it to be over.

it’s ok, it’s pretty slow. The brice has only just arrived and by the description on the inside cover I thought the niece would have been an integral character. There’s a ton of German too and there’s very little context so Im lost most of the time.

it’s pretty good so far. Lot of german conversations so it’s difficult to understand everything that’s being said but i’m enjoying it.
