Back after a long time and started this one because I was in the mood for some thrilling action. This book has everything I need to get out of the massive reading slump that I'm currently in :')

Okay so I’ve reached the part where the supposedly big twist occurs and while it certainly is a very good twist, I think this book for me at least is falling a bit short. I said at the beginning how I would hate to be heartbroken but I feel like the emotional value of this book is either too hyped or I’m just not able to connect with it. I have a few other problems with it that I hope are cleared up by the end.

I'm in a reading slump because of this book but why am I enjoying it?

I knew this book will wreck me and to be honest, it has been pretty successful so far. I picked it up almost mindlessly to read a chapter or two but ended up reading more than a 100 pages in one sitting. I know this will be a beautiful read but if I end up crying after finishing it, I will sue everyone that recommended me this book.


(just for context, I do not like emotional books *grimaces*)

Couldn’t read much since school reopened but I’m back on the grind and will hopefully get this done before July. Still wondering where the fast reader in me went :’)

Jeez, this one is taking up my utmost attention. I think I’ll have to put off Thinner for a bit and just read one book at a time. Not that I’m mad about it though, it’s a complicated mystery; I don’t want to miss any minor details :)

So far so good! The plot is incredibly original and the writing is to die for 😩
