GoodReads: Why am I just now getting notifications that are over 5 HOURS old?!?!?!

What the hell is going on with the notifications GoodReads?

This is actually really well-written, what the hell? I'm afraid to go any further and have that opinion change...

And there's the number one reason why all that subterfuge is not only unnecessary, but harmful. Everyone deserves to see themselves in all the different facets and aspects of public media as accepted, as an important member of society.

I don't think I've ever in my life bought an album thinking I had some ridiculous fantasy of getting it on with a musician; never went to a concert hoping to end up a backstage groupie. Not as a pre-teen, a teen or an adult. I just can't imagine kids these days are this deluded...

Oh man, this is such bullshit. I'm sure there are a ton of bands out there with management that made them perpetrate these kinds of lies, are still being forced to hide their real life relationship status & orientation. Sucks, big time. Also, is this really necessary anymore? Especially given the multitude of bandslash and bromance Tumblers?

Okay, this is kinda cute. Eye-rollingly silly & ridiculous sometimes, but cute. And bits of it remind me of Will & Patrick Wake Up Married, which I loved, so that's a good thing.

I really, really wish that people would learn the difference between MMF and MFM when tagging/shelving books. *long suffering sigh*

Are these guys supposed to be 30-something year old men? 'Cause they sure do act and sound like pouty, whiny, selfish preteen girls.

I'm not usually one for YA stories but this one is surprisingly good; well-written, true-to-life circumstances with good characterization. The alternating POV formats are interesting as well. Real-life/current time for Casey, emails to older bro for Zander and journal entries for Nate...and they aren't even a literary crutch because each of them sounds completely different.

Just Desserts: 4.2 Stars - I kept getting scared that Tug would end up the accidental victim (I don't even know why; none of the other stories were like that) but in spite of the constant impending sense of doom, I really liked this one and the message conveyed with that ending.

Critic's Choice: 3.7 Stars - Weird and creepy; LOL at all the horror movie tropes.

Yeah, this book makes me wish I had taken more than just that one cursory Philosophy class in college...

Okay, that makes a LOT more sense. I kept wondering how in the HELL this set of cases could last when I was at 42% and it felt really close to wrapping up. Well, duh, cause it was almost done. Evidently I missed the table of contents and didn't realize that there are actually two books/stories in this one novel.

Gawd, this is really slow going. Good, not arguing that (seriously well written and I love the biting social commentary peppered every chapter or so), but it seems a whole lot longer than it's 380ish pages.

JFC this is crazy, scary good. I'm not a fan of actual horror (supernatural or otherwise) but man, this is just so well done...

Oh man, that scene with Kismet pulling at the disease threads he sees gives me all kinds of chills - the description so close to what those suffering Morgellons.

I'mma try this one again. I started it a while back and it didn't really grab me, but I think I'm in the mood to give it more of an effort.

This book will count for absolutely NONE of my challenges...but it's Jordan L. Hawk! I couldn't NOT read it.
