I don't remember how I heard about this author - NPR podcast, maybe - but I was impressed by three things: she writes in English despite learning it as a second language (I know three languages besides English but couldn't write a passable short story in any of them), she's determined to publish at least one book in each of her favorite genres, and one of those genres (this book's) is wuxia! Very very exciting!
