haymitch's descent into alcoholism is so sad. i can now see the haymitch we know. i wish we spent more time on his PTSD post games, but i get we got that with katniss.

love all the lucy gray bits.

what made me sad were the three coffins coming home with haymitch and them all being buried

what i find most shocking is that he saw footage of lucy gray — why would snow allow this and acknowledge this? will this come into play before the book ends?

i actually feel bad for silka.

i'm really sad about maysilee. i knew from the original trilogy she wasn't going to make it, but i'm so sad. i also really liked how haymitch gave silka some chocolate balls — first time i felt like this book/character wasn't a bit of a rehash of the thg and cf plots and katniss characterisation.
