Now, I am just angry!!! And, shockingly, speechless. I have no words...💔

I blame work for being so slow. I am still trying to view it as a positive thing... Soaking in the story rather than rushing (even though I desperately want to rush through to the very end).

I will do a review at the end. However, punctuation is still unparalleled! #Goals

I did not manage to read as much as I wanted yesterday and, so, I only managed 'Lispenard Street'.

Also, note to any of you planning to read this - perhaps start the book on a weekend when you get can stuck in and not be interrupted by, you know, work, etc.

Other thoughts? I feel invested in the characters' lives already. And the punctuation is on point! A bit weird, yes, but I have a thing about good punctuation.

It is late. I should really do this tomorrow, as the only comment I can come up with at this stage is 'wow' which helps no one..

The war scenes this time around - oh, I did not struggle in the slightest. I was there!

Volume Two is much more focused on the three main characters (but I will write at length about them in the final review) and there is even more food for thought here (if that was at all possible!).

Firstly, my physical copy is 960 pages, the size of the font a tiny two! The intention was most likely a good one - reduce the length of the book but what a bad decision!

I struggled with the first 170 pages at times - the introduction of many a character in Book One & the war scenes in Book Two, particularly, were tough. After that 170th page, though, things changed for the better. Volume One - completed!

Not another one of those....

This will be a struggle....
