Fell into the "Just one more chapter" trap last night. I really wanted to keep reading, but that pesky need for sleep was being a jerk and wouldn't let me! I could get so much more reading done if sleep was completely optional!

Becoming part of the Empire made Ciena's heart swell with pride. This was strength, grandeur, majesty. This was the kind of honor she'd been raised to value, but taken to heights she'd never dreamed. Nothing could be more beautiful than this.

Starting my very first buddy read with the wonderful Sophie today! I've heard a lot of great things about this book (especially since my ears always perk up whenever someone mentions Star Wars)!

The bar was made of stacked boxes and had some actual chairs beside it. Veil leaned against the "bar" in what she hoped was a smooth way, and nearly knocked the boxes over. She stumbled, catching them, then smiled sheepishly at the bartender.

I haven't gotten much reading in the last few days due to Christmassy stuff, and I won't have time to read tonight, either, as I'm going to see the band Ghost in concert! Ghost is like a time machine to 70's and 80's heavy metal!
