The snow won't stop falling today! You would think getting a snow day would mean I'd have more time to read today, but not when I have to spend the whole day shoveling!

Chasing after a dragon on tigerback? Moroda is much braver than I! I would have reacted to the tiger more like this..

He didn't know whether to scowl or smile. He was here to scare people into behaving and also to reassure them that everything was under control. He settled on the smile. It was the kind of lie he was better at.

Sometimes those fake smiles are scarier than scowls anyway!

Today I begin my very first buddy read with TL,
the Queen of Awesomeness! I'm so excited to be reading this book with her! Onto the world of Linaria we go! :D

Whoa! It takes guts to talk to your captain that way! Most captains would react like this

Havelock rose lurching to his feet and headed for the door. He was trying to stomp, but in the Ceres spin gravity and his inebriated state, he misjudged. It looked like he was hopping.

Hard to make a dramatic exit when you're hopping. It can be done, though!

"I told you to stay low, Morr. Not to go asking the Seanchan their plans! To look and stay low!

I love how Morr seems to think that simply asking the enemy what they're up to is a really smart plan! 😂

Starting my first group read with the Accountant Backlist Bookclub group! I've been looking forward to this sci-fi book for a while, hope there's plenty of lasers and pew-pew-pew! :D

A ball of... something... appeared in the air, a dead black globe. The birds went still, silent; somehow, Graendal knew they had frozen in terror.

It must be scary if even the birds are freaked out! Usually birds just give you that "F*** you, I'm a bird" attitude!

Loving this! I'm happier than these doggies right now!

Haven't been feeling that great the last couple of days, so I haven't gotten as much reading done as I would have liked, but I'm hoping to finally finish this book tonight! I can't wait to see how the story ends!

Of all the horrible things they've endured so far, the most terrifying of them all just might be...BAD COFFEE! Don't EVER mess with someone's coffee!
