This book was recommended to me somewhere on the “if you liked ____, you would definitely like _____.” However, it’s much darker than anything else I’ve read. Looking back now at the description, the author is clear it’s not a retelling or fantasy (which is definitely what I thought I was getting)….but I’m not one to DNF…so let’s see what happens next I guess…
