To continue with my thoughts on this book, I do feel it cops a lot of hate and from others a lot of love, either one is probably too extreme of a viewpoint. Ultimately it provides useful ideas for individuals.

People saying the plot is too contrived given it being a fiction book should really look at the ratings for the bible. Which I personally find to have far too many 1 dimensional characters.

I've started this book a few times and have generally enjoyed it but I'll be the first to admit that the somewhat 1 dimensional characters have (in previous attempts) and do (in my current attempt) grind my gears.

However, it is a fiction book, so as long as lame action films with garbage plots/hoot outs continue to crush box office sales. I can accept that contrived plots can still have some value.

Being a Jordan Peterson listener I've heard him recommend this book a thousand times, and given the current state of the world and what appears to be a brewing pro communist sentiment I decided to give this a read. The first chapter was pretty harrowing, the idea of being dragged away from your life for fictitious crimes and quota completion is insane.
