Es un cuento infantil que se lee súper rápido y es relajante leerlo por las noches o con nuestros niños.

Surprisingly, this has been a sad little book so far. You definitely need to read the first two to understand what is going on. I got a few giggles out of Lillian tonight. ❤️🐘🐶🦍

Lovely writing!
"My words hang in the air like tired butterflies."
"Elephant smiles are all in their eyes, the way bird smiles are all in their songs."
"It's always nice to see grown-ups act silly. They don't do it nearly enough if you ask me."

I love how the author has really dove into the idea of writing from an elephant’s perspective. I love how they describe so many in-depth details about what it would have been like for an elephant growing up in Africa.

I first read The One and Only Ivan in 4th garage and I read The One and Only Bod a couple years ago. I have found it so nostalgic to read this book because the format brings me back to when I read the first books. I love how the author had structured these books like the inner thoughts of the characters. I love getting to know them in such a personal level.

Such a sweet book! Probably my favorite in the series. Many of my students loved it, too. I especially adore the message, “What gifts did the world give you today? What gifts did you give the world today?” Definitely plan to use this as a read-aloud option.
