Status Updates From 怪獣8号 8 [Kaijū 8-gō 8]

I'm conflicted about the reasons why governments want to go to war, but the defending your home and protecting people who can not fight? Yeah, that still seem meaningful to me.

Yet the older I get, the more I wish for peace. Even a false one. Because seeing young people die, especially the ones you helped become who they are, it sucks.

I've lost that hunger, that drive, that certainty.

Hmm.

😭 once upon a time I wanted to become a soldier. Not because I wanted to kill people. Even at a young age I knew that would be the best reason for me to not do it. Also not because I wanted to use weapons which seemed to be the biggest reason for kid. Nope, I wanted to join because I thought the discipline would be good for me and I wanted to do something that mattered.

Nothing will make me cry faster than reading about the power of friendship. (I blame 'the Fox and the Hound', made by Disney)
