Carly and Ryan have that in common - each of them have had a parent pass away.

I forget how Carly's dad died, but Ryan's mom passed away five years ago from breast cancer.

She says she is 36 years younger than her mom. So Carly is 34?

The catalysts (reasons and actions alike) for the climax of the stories get more boring and too forced, by the day. It all feels unnatural and none of it is usually a misunderstanding that COULD happen.
