…One thing you would never expect from a book like this is for it to trigger a full-blown anxiety attack…

I was on the brink of tears when I started this book so maybe that's why I keep laughing hysterically out loud but I needed these laughs, thank you Allie.

I'm about halfway through this book and I don't want it to end so I haven't finished it yet, which is stupid :P

Why, oh why, did I spend $30 on the hardback of this book that is not only immensely disappointing, but - to add insult to injury - would have been so much easier to read as an ebook from the library on my iPad? 😩

(Seriously, this hardback is so tightly bound it’s impossible to read comfortably)

This is all over the place as far as topics and there is an underlying, pervasive feeling of helplessness. Not sure where it is coming from but it does feel more sad than jovial.

I need to pause here. It's one thing to have your heart break for a fictional character, it's quite another to have it break for someone you've respected for years.

I’ve already cackled, wheezed, and read most of a chapter out loud to my husband because it was too funny not to share.

The author has been through a lot and it seemed she was trying to capture the same balance of humor and introspection as her first book but to me it just came across as a deep sadness. I hope writing it was cathartic for her but it was difficult to read it all the way to the end.
