i dont think this will be as good as the first one :( also i can already tell that the Slightly Evolved art style isnt as funny to me :(

This is much different than I was expecting, but powerful, well-written, and I can't stop reading it.

What a curious book, with some intense situations, dogs, and unanswerable questions.
OH my the drawings. It's a fun mix with her quirky selfie and more natural (human) looking people.

On the serious part now :((

This is a super serious and sad chapter
"When you can explain things to people who are willing to listen to you explain them, it is extremely difficult to resist fully and brutally explaining them. It feels good to explain them - like maybe you're getting somewhere. Like maybe, if you can just...really explain them, the experiences will realize you're catching on and stop bothering you."

About something serious but also made me laugh si hard I cried

Allie Brosh’s head is a very uncomfortable place to be for most of this book.

"We were so mad that we'd entered into that infinite loop where everything the other person does - no matter how innocuous it is - seems inflammatory. They could just be standing there, and it would seem like the most flagrant standing anyone has ever done."

The bananas story is spot on about relationship dysfunction.

Having a hard time identifying with much of this - I don't have social anxiety, even though I should, given the inevitable awkwardness of social interactions with me. Good thing I only paid $1 for the book at the dollar store.

"Fortunately, animals are the psychological equivalent of tractors. [...] We can do pretty much whatever we want to them, and they'll be like, Okay, we will try it. Thank you for interacting with us."

Tell me you're a dog person without telling me you're a dog person. Ever met a cat? This is not the attitude of cat.

Sometimes the best thing we can do is moving forward and hoping we end up somewhere that makes sense

I really love this book.

It is taking me so long to read this book because I have to stop to laugh every other page. Then when nobody asks me why I am laughing, I have to get their attention and make them stop whatever they are doing to read the thing that made me laugh. I don’t understand why they are never like, “Dude. That thing I was doing before is suddenly the second most important thing I could be doing with my time.”

I can already tell like Brosh's first book this is going to be one of my go to pick-me-ups for when I am feeling down or off by how much it makes me laugh
