Also, I find Mrs. Evergreen an interesting character. When Brystal stayed overnight at the library and she fell asleep, her mother yelled at her in panic because she was worried, but didn't scold her. Instead, she smiled genuinely at Brystal and told her she was happy she found something she loved. I feel the love that Mrs. Evergreen has for Brystal and wonder what would happen if she realized Brystal was lying.

Finished chapter 3. Brystal discovers banned titles that give views about issues that are considered controversial to the kingdom. The Justices banned these books and executed the authors for "conspiracy against the kingdom". In reality, they were just trying to fight for their own rights and tell everyone the truth. This also reflects the issue of banned books and edited history in real life.

Finished chapter 2. Brystal applied for a job at the library because she has a plan to steal books against the laws. She lies to her parents about it. One moment I remember very clearly is when the teacher asks about what the answer is when she was dozing off. She answered "ask my husband for advice" and it was correct. This shows that they live in a society where women are treated as peasants and have a low status.

I hope Mrs. Wheatherberry does not die. But I think she will. She is in a really bad state. Why not just train Brystal and let her kill the Snow Queen?
I am really scared for Brystal and Madam Wheatherberry. I hpoe they are successful!

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH, so what if my fantasy level is stuck on middle grade. This book is far from boring, lots of interesting new things to find in every chapter and the characters are quirky in their own ways. Looking forward to the next boook 💕
