Really sucked me in, I love this book so far

It’s very as expected by Chris Colfer. Not much is happening right now, but I have a feeling something big and unexpected will happen soon.

Je n'aime pas le style de narration, tout est dit, rien n'est montré... j'envisage de DNF.. ou peut-être de finir lui et DNF la série

the book is good and a very cute story but i feel like it moves almost too quickly? they’ve been at the academy for only a month as fresh, new fairies and now they’re suddenly going to solve the magical worlds problems in a war?!? HOW?! i feel like the story would benefit from a bit slower pacing and make some things more believable

y’all it’s giving harry potter but if harry potter was mainly about women and written by chris colfer (a compliment)

this is the type of book i would have really enjoyed as a child and i’m intrigued at where it’s going from here!!

So now the head is gonna make a school for fairies to try to get the world to know magic is nice and then they talk abt the northern conflict idk what it is but I know it’s bad because in the book the kind said it was horrible.

So the head of the 2 girls are talking abt how how witch craft and magic are so different things.

So the king met three lady’s and he’s getting me mad

So they were just talking abt how magic and witch craft is different and the king keeps saying it’s the same but it’s not.

So the king is getting me mad and I think the three girls who broke in have magic since they got rid off all the servants and guards.

The book is so kawaii ate

I enjoyed the stepping stone of the students becoming like a chosen family when "Brystal read the book for hours and she was delighted by what a captivated audience her floormates were," (Colfer 230).

Brystal is defended by Brooks and prosecuted by Barrie. Barrie orders maximum penalty as father wanted him to, but doesn't realize the criminal is actually his sister. Luckily, their father comes and saves Brystal by sending her to a girl's school for rehabilitation. Brystal calls him father, but he says "I have no daughter like you". He only cares about his reputation, not about her. That's why he saved Brystal.

Finished chapter 4. Brystal discovers she is a fairy when stumbling upon a book of magic, then she is taken to the Justices. Magic is forbidden in the kingdom. We learn about this in the banned books she has been reading. Apparently, the first monarch, King Champion I was brainwashed by others, believing that everyone who used magic was a witch. Mystical creatures were slaughtered and "witches" were executed.

Also, I find Mrs. Evergreen an interesting character. When Brystal stayed overnight at the library and she fell asleep, her mother yelled at her in panic because she was worried, but didn't scold her. Instead, she smiled genuinely at Brystal and told her she was happy she found something she loved. I feel the love that Mrs. Evergreen has for Brystal and wonder what would happen if she realized Brystal was lying.
