This is hilarious

Enoch continues her reputation of writing well developed characters with witty situations and fantastic dialog. Niall and Amy’s story starts with Amy chosen for his brother Coll. Niall though forms a bond and friendship with Amy while Coll is absent and wants no interaction and is happy to give the chance to his brother when their bond is obvious to all. Amy’s family meanwhile will not agree to not obtaining a title

Hmm not as immediately engaging as the Lynsay Sands books, but I will persist.

Maybe if I add it to my currently reading, I'll actually read it.

I like kilts, Scottish accents, and rugged men trying to fit in with high society. I like this book.

I still hate the narrator’s squeaky voice though.

I’m liking the story but not loving the narrator so far. It’s nice to have an actual Scottish narrator for a Scottish story, but does her voice have to be so squeaky?
