This isn't my favourite Orwell book, but it isn't bad per say.

The hotel sections are quite engaging. That one bar customer... less so.

Not as much analysis in this one, but Orwell claims that he wasn't 'into politics' during this time. Still enjoyable.

Despite this being non-fiction, it does feel like a novel. I like it so far even if nothing too interesting is going on. I love Orwell's analysis on basically everything.

This is going to be my third Orwell book.

The book has gotten way more engaging as the book flows. It’s currently expressing his struggles with money during the Great Depression in Paris.
