Quite interesting characters! I feel for their life in poverty, and I am curious to see how they get out of their slump.

Orwell’s writing is brilliant but he must have had a miserable life.

Summer reading :/

I’m rereading this. I read it in high school and was one of the books that made me want to become a chef (weirdly) I love that I’m in my reread era, or at least one or two a year.

A few comments:
- I was basically a plongeur at basil
- glad to have been introduced to ‘Saint Eloise’ - very fitting considering my eloise is pretty saintlike
- I think I should start donating to charity

Right I’m booking a trip to Paris again
