So far all she's really talked about is purses, Duke, and sports. I'm really bored. Not sure this book is for me although I really like this actress. Amy Poehler said the book was hilarious but I have not laughed, even to myself, once so far. Hoping it'll get better.

Listening to Retta read her book seems like she's sitting in my living room with me. She seems so down to earth and naturally funny. If you haven't already read this one - you should check it out. I always recommend the audio-book if the author reads it to you.

Switched to the audiobook and it is really fun listening to Retta’s voice.

This audio book is HILARIOUS.

Should I have watched her show? I did due diligence with a few YouTube clips, but it didn't gel for me. So far the book doesn't either. I was down for some fat pride here, and it may happen. Too soon to give up on a DRC. But it seems inane. Bowel habits? It just seems like TMI and almost free-associative chatter. I may be the wrong audience. Others seem to like this.

I'm five minutes in to chapter two of the Audible and I want to skip work so I can listen to the whole thing straight through.

about 2 hours into the audiobook and already it is so good/funny. Would recommend the audiobook (read by Retta) over the print book for sure!
