I'm finding this book rather irritating. There are inconsistencies in her 'facts' and there is a lot of her opinion not a lot of unbiased criticism/comment

I was hoping this book would give me some new (or even old) information about Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers but it actually shied away from history. It's really more of a dissertation on their screen partnership - a very insightful, well-written, and well-argued thesis with some really great photos, but provides no historical tidbits for film history buffs.

It sucks when u know from the first 20 pages whether a book is any good or not. Strictly for desperate hardcore astaire fans like me.

So far, I dont agree w/ most of her premise but more importantly, I dont feel the love/affection that imbues the best Astaire bks.
