Status Updates From How to Take Smart Notes

This book is fascinating so far! It’s all about creating a standardized system for your notes, so your brain has an external space to work in.

The writing style doesn’t exactly make it easy to visualize what he’s talking about and he repeatedly seems to assume you’re already familiar with it. Could use pictures honestly and I don’t care if that makes me sound dumb lol

Thus far I've read ~5 pages of targeted content in 47 pages of paper. Far too much emphasis on writing academic papers - that is not the stated subject for this book, so it should not have been the dominant subject.

My current note taking habits align with this for the most part so far, but there have been a few useful notes. Fairly boring and repetitive so far. Hoping it improves.

In keeping with the ideas of the book, I am creating notes of thoughts as they strike me while reading. It makes my progress a bit slower, but I must admit I feel like I'm getting way more out of it than I would if I were to just read more passively (that is, still engaging and thinking about the text as I typically do, but without the extra step of writing things out as I go). Quite liking this so far!

Ahrens repeats himself often, but it takes a lot of examples and a lot of thinking about these examples to really understand and internalise the techniques, workflows, habits, and routines described in this book. On first glance, the system is simple, but it takes quite a change of habits to integrate the system into one’s daily workflow.

La parte más importante de llevar tu sistema de cosas es repasar y pensar las notas por ti mismo para que puedas crear las conexiones pertinentes.

主要看了第三章的第三节“记卡片盒笔记”，这一节里的“超越文本既定框架”的概念让人耳目一新，感觉上是比“详细阐释法”更进一步的阅读态度和技能。类似意思是读者知道作者结论的提出过程、依据甚至局限，而不是完全采纳作者的观点。

看到了第三章前两个关键，越来越感觉这本书并不是很好的卢曼卡片盒的介绍，而应该将其施作卢曼卡片盒的应用以及应用中教你“如何正确的工作/学习/创造”等。
不过最大的收获是书里对于康德启蒙运动文章的介绍，请允许我不耐烦的再次引用如下：
启蒙是人摆脱自己造成的不成熟。（我自己补得）如果一个人离开他人的引导就无法运用自己的理智，那他就是不成熟的。如果不成熟的原因不是缺乏理智，而是犹豫不决、没有勇气，那就是作茧自缚。要敢于认识！这就是启蒙运动的座右铭是‘要有勇气运用你自己的理智’的原因。

看完了第一章，跟着obsidian的运用一起。直接把ob你的一些想法放进来：
- 序言是为知的李峻和flomo的少楠写的，不过巧的是这两位主导的笔记软件都没有zk卡片笔记的功能。
- 作者书里提到了学术写作（我觉得理解为各种创造都可以）尺寸被不必要干扰所阻碍，举了个例子是学生收集各种学习和记笔记技巧，技巧本身并不复杂，但是结果却没有那么有效，其中的关键是**人们在使用它们时通常都不考虑实际的工作流程，反而可能使工作变得极其复杂**。 #自学/误区 这个点和作者之前谈到的simple rules观念是一致的。摘录如下

- 书里提到比勒菲尔德大学拯救卢曼卡片盒笔记系统，编者在脚注里说：“很遗憾，大部分都是德文，如比勒菲尔德大学网站。” 然后，就没了。看的我火大，我自己在谷歌里搜到了卢曼卡片盒的官网，编者和译者就不知道放个他们研究的链接么？甚至补充一个 [卢曼卡片盒笔记的官网链接]
