This fits with the theme of this grandiose space society on one hand yet absolute conservatism regarding gender and sexuality on the other. Very much „US in space“.

Good god, this is so much worse than I remember. My girl Dors is trying her best and then she doesn’t even get mentioned in the blurb.
I would attribute so much weaponised incompetence to Seldon if I thought he actually knew any better. I don’t think he does.
But I guess it’s a good example of how little expertise a man needs to still be reputable.
