Trying not to cry or yell (not from frustration). So much has yet to happen and there aren't many pages left.

For a series that's called "The Tale of Shikanoko", the titular character has not appeared much in book 3 and not at all so far in this one. The Spider Tribe and Masachika are much more heavily featured. The book is really good and I'm enjoying it so far but it's an interesting thing I've observed.

Starting this book is a bittersweet moment. It is the last one in the series and it makes me rather sad because I've gotten quite attached to the characters. I do want to know if Yoshimori becomes emperor though. This series will definitely be re-read in the near future.

I hate that I read these so quickly. But they’re so good I just can’t put them down.

I couldn’t resist picking this one up. I really am enjoying this world and wish there were more books set in it. I believe Hearn’s other series is set in the same world but many centuries later or something like that, but I can’t final all of them so I don’t want to buy them knowing I might not ever be able to finish the series.

I am loving this. The second book may still be my favorite but this one is amazing, too.

Misclicked and checked this out instead of adding it to my list, so I guess I'll listen to it before the King.

This is the final installment of an epic series of four books comprising The Tales of Shikanoko. They are inspired by medieval Japanese warrior tales. They are unlike anything I have ever encountered, defying genre; this beautiful saga is powerful, magical, and utterly enchanting.
