this book is SO FUNNY. i love it.

I gave up and started eating the apple. "Dead women who don't speak. Sounds right up Roger's alley."
Roger was like the Edgar Allen Poe of stupid people. He'd been making movies about women who were dead or dying, who didn't have much to say, for as long as his stringy hair had been ponytailed into a cliché.

I like this quite a bit. The characters are likable, the California setting is believable, and the Manson stories are kind of looming in the background, like you can sense they're important but you just don't know why yet.

"...your average guy won't notice anything you change about yourself short of missing limbs. If you came in armless, he might ask if you got a haircut," hahahahaha.

Really not liking this book. It was good at first but now it's very very slow and boring.
