Status Updates From American Girls

Hi, I officially hate all of the characters in this book. They’re all horrible people and this book should die a terrible literary death.

Page 95: “I remembered a picture that Doom had said we should figure out how to send but never did, a fake selfie of Paige Parker with rope around her neck and whited out eyeballs, and I wished that someone could have done the same to the so called terrible pictures of Olivia Taylor.”

Page 63, “I just-“ she said again. “I can’t take the risk that having you here might make the cancer worse.”

Anna is my least favorite kind of character. She’s mean, and she thinks the world is so unfair to her. She lives a good life with good parents and repays them by stealing their money and being a complete brat. Hopefully she’ll grow as a person, but these kinds of characters usually don’t.
