Once again I am profoundly annoyed at Kloos for setting up what seems like it's going to be a crucial plot point and then completely forgetting about it. I don't know if it's a failure of imagination or editing, but it's a failure.

There are some holes in the story that just haven't been patched, and new ones seemingly being created. I guess it's an effect of reading the books back to back, but it's kinda aggravating that Marko is forgetting to resolve things, and his characters likewise seem to be entirely ignoring hard earned previous experiences.

I have enjoyed this series so far. Good military space opera with interesting characters put in hard situations. I like how the fact that a species-ending alien invasion was not enough to stop warring between nations. Not until Terra itself is threatened (when the aliens take Mars) do the nations unite against their common foe.

Wish I wasn't so busy and had more time to read. This series is an action packed page burner festival. If I didn't need little things like sleep, and that annoying work stuff wasn't in the way, I'd finish this in one sitting.
