6/8 CDs listened to. Loving this book. I hope there is some kind of flow chart or action plan or workbook at the end!

This book is much better than I expected. I expected to skim but there are several things I want to adopt / note down and use!

I’m listening to this book & find the author/narrator’s style difficult. The over-enthusiasm with what is not proven because “I’m the only data point that matters” is bad. Or maybe we don’t need much water?! The book is full of “research shows”, research by whom? Maybe there’s an endnote on the printed book, but the audio also needs a name otherwise it is hard to believe! Perhaps too post-modern to me.

I need a book like this written by someone who isn’t my complete opposite.

Finally! A book that tells me that being a night person is a hardwired attribute!

The author: “everyone fits into one of these categories!”
Me: “I’m pretty sure I’m in two of these...”

Trying to expand my horizons, and picked up this book awhile ago. I haven't made much progress yet, but I'm interested and I have discovered so far through this book, I am an Obliger! It's crazy the things you can learn about yourself through reading.

Listening to the audiobook I find this book to simply be a compilation of her small experiments in habit forming. I find it boring and her methods of trying to change others overbearing and completely lacking in self-awareness. It would be more helpful if she talked about how she broke bad habits but well, she doesn’t seem to have any. We can call this book- My life as a 1 Percenter

Couldn’t finish it. I am not a big self help book person to begin with and I found this one to be especially my way is the only way.

Liked the chapters on treats and pairing. Don't know how aware I am of my own feelings about treats so I will ponder this in the next few days. I already use pairing a lot but it would be interesting to think of more possibilities to strengthen good habits.

I loved the chapter on the pros and mostly cons of rewards. It resonated with the way I have been thinking about this and explained why I have been skeptical of other people's suggestions.

When you read a chapter on loopholes (like, the ones we create to get out of doing things we had already decided to do, like exercising or spending time on a creative project or eating dinner at home) and can recognize yourself and your own musings in almost all of them (insert eye-covering emoji here).

I absolutely LOVE books about habits and routines. Because I love habits and routines. And hearing about other people's. And thinking about changes I can make to my own. For me and my personality, books like this are really energizing.
