Notes:
(1) The last few issues here take a page right out of the '90s comic writing playbook. That is, when a character's growing stale and in need of freshening up, make a sexy version of it.
- Here, we not only get one sexy lady Spawn, we get two sexy lady Spawns.
- An often-popular short-term fix with no proven long-term impact outside of inspiring future female cosplay.

Notes:
(1) After a memorable first issue, the series is back to middling.
(2) We get an awful lot of editor's notes, pointing to issues as far back as #18.
(3) There's a surprising amount of both male and female nudity.
- Though, it's the sort of "Austin Powers" nudity where all the explicit bits are creatively hidden: in this case very carefully cropped or silhouetted out.

Notes:
(1) The first issue here is about a British soldier and his problematic mixed-race romance with an American maid-servant.
- It's about what you'd expect, given the subject matter, but features some really beautiful painted art.
(2) Apart from the visual aspect, the only other really notable thing about it is the end reveal, which turns it into a kind of origin story.

Notes:
(1) I may as well get this over with now: another volume of "Spawn" that I'm suffering through for completionist sake.
- I should have bailed a lot earlier since I doubt I'd even be touching this series if I wasn't already 178 issues in and therefore heavily invested.
(2) Last time I read "Spawn" was in October.
- I recall nothing and don't care to refresh my memory.
