Status Updates From Before I Go

So far I have struggled with liking the protagonist. I want to like her so badly and the writing is flawless, yet I find myself unable to connect with her. Is it because she is 27, I'm not sure. But I am hoping by the end I have formed a connection her.

Is this an 'ugly cry' read? I'm not yet even there, but tears stream to my face every now and then. Ugh.

This book is already breaking my heart and I just started it. What a talent this author, Colleen Oakley, has....to make me feel so much in such a short amount of time!

Why did I think this would be a good read?! Why? It's destroying my soul already. In a good way. In as good a way a heart - breaking book can. It's very well written. The MC does and says a lot of the things I do and say too, which adds a little something extra..

This has already sucked me in, 12 pages in. It is so well written, I already feel a real connection with the characters.

This book is already breaking my heart. I LOOOOVE that it's set in Athens, Georgia. Seriously, what an unexpected yet delightful surprise! I'm really enjoying the narration, too. So far the writing, setting and characters are all a win for me!
