I love this book! It is hard to believe it is a debut novel.

I am enjoying the book. Noa is an unusual narrator. She has an edge to her. At this point I am pulled int a story and have all sorts of questions. I hope the answers live up to the pull of the plot.

Elizabeth Silver's way with words! For example:
"I think the thing I actually miss the most is watching a sun sit still on a solid evening hour, its talons skewering the clouds beneath. That elongated stretch through the clouds, that beam downward, pointing like a strict schoolteacher, informing everyone around that, yes, there is a higher purpose..."

Well, I couldn't help but check out something where the marketing team has the audacity to compare it to 2 of the past couple years' 3 biggest thrillers (Before I Go To Sleep & Defending Jacob) and being the 250th novel claiming to be this year's Gone Girl (the 3rd of the 3). Due to all that, I was expecting an utter trainwreck, but not too much to say so far other than that it's stylized to a fault
